Facial Plastic Surgery
 Dr.
Kevin C. Lunde has devoted his practice to the study of the aesthetics
and function of the face, head and neck. He received his Bachelor of
Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Doctor of
Medicine degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his specialty
training in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center
in 1991. Dr. Lunde served eight years in the U.S. Air Force, including
acting as the Chairman of the Otolaryngology Department at Carswell AFB
in Ft. Worth.
He combined his interest in plastic surgery with his experience in
Head and Neck surgery when he was selected for a fellowship with the
American Academy of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Houston,
Texas. Dr. Lunde is double board certified by the American
Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American
Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He was the recipient of the Jack
R. Anderson Prize for Scholastic Excellence for having the highest score on the Facial
Plastic Surgery certifying exam. He was awarded the U. S. Air Force Commendation
Medal for establishing a surgical workshop and instructional program
for Family Practice residents and Physician Assistant students.
Dr Lunde has been published in various medical journals including the
Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America and the Archives
of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He has made numerous presentations at national
medical meetings. Most recently, he presented his experience using the
Carbon Dioxide laser in the reconstruction of noses at the 8th International
Symposium of Facial Plastic Surgery in New York City.
Following six years of group practice in Tennessee, Dr. Lunde and his
family returned to Texas in 2003 to take over the Otolaryngic Allergy
practice of Dr. Walter Tucker upon his retirement. In June 2005, Dr.
Lunde moved his office to the Medical Pavilion at Baylor Regional Medical
Center of Plano.
Dr. Lunde is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery and was selected to serve as its committee chairman
responsible for reviewing Fellowship research projects. He is also a
American Academy
of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the AMA,
the Texas Medical Association and the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society.
He is on the staff at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano, the Medical
Center of Plano, Presbyterian Hospital of Plano and Frisco Medical Center.
Dr. Lunde resides in Frisco with his wife, Marjanne, and their children,
Ellison and Hayden. His interests outside the office include church activities,
photography, the YMCA Adventure Guides, and playing sports with his family. |
